Fly with us through the ages, over magnificent buildings that time refused to forget, where Our work celebrates the harmony between history, design, and the enduring beauty of what humanity has built
CLIFFE FORT
ROCHESTER, KENT, UK, 2025
Built between 1861 and 1870, Cliffe Fort was part of a network of Palmerston Forts guarding the Thames and Medway approaches to London. Despite difficult marshland foundations, it became a powerful coastal defence with armoured gun casemates and later a Brennan torpedo launching station—an early guided weapon.
It was active through both World Wars before being decommissioned and sold to private industry. Today it stands derelict and partly flooded, but remains a striking symbol of Victorian military engineering and innovation.
couvre port reservoir
gillingham, KENT, UK, 2025
Built around 1897–1903, the Couvre Porte Reservoir supplied fresh water to Chatham Dockyard, holding over four million gallons drawn from artesian wells. Hidden within the old Chatham Lines defences, it was a key part of the area’s military infrastructure.
Decommissioned in the 1980s, the site now lies sealed and disused, but remains a striking reminder of the dockyard’s industrial heritage and Victorian engineering.
